It was once again lunch time at McKinley high school. Rory Flanagan was wearing his usual attire of green shirt and trousers. Dispite the fact that he was still being bullied by most if the jocks and the hockey team, he was finding Mckinley to be an enjoyable place. He had met a few good people including Finn Hudson. And he had successfully managed to join the New Directions. And now his day had led him here. To the cafeteria. And it was lunch time. After paying for his meal, he placed himself at the nearest table, and began eating. Today he had simply gone for a simple turkey sandwich and packet of crisps.

Lyric had somehow managed to get out of her fourth period early. She wasn't sure how it had happened. Though she used to time to fix herself up and make sure that her make-up was still good. If she ran into Finn, she didn't want to look bad. The boy had been flirting with her lately and she was all giddy smiles when she was messaging him. He was amazing. Now if only Rachel Berry would go away then everything would be amazing. The born was always on her mind. Sure there was the chance she was making this whole thing up. Besides it isn't like he would ever leave Rachel.
Scanning the cafeteria as she entered, her eyes landed on a figure dressed in green. Suddenly all thoughts of the school quarterback fled her mind. Lyric was all focused on the thick Irish accent that had floated through her ears so many times. Sure, she was totally crazy about Finn but the things that accent did to her. It was like smooth velvet to her ears when her spoke. and the way her name rolled off his tongue. She could totally gush over it every time that she heard it.
Strolling over toward the green figure, Lyric's smile was about as wide as it was where she even laid eyes upon Finn. Luckily, she had just fixed herself up. No need to look bad in front of the cute Irish exchange student. Though they had already become friends. Mostly because they shared classes together and also the fact that the first time she had heard him speak, she had turned to jelly. Sliding into the open seat across from him, she was all smiles. Well, if it isn't my little Irish lucky charm. Her voice was sweet as candy. This was normal behavior for her but especially around Rory.

It was strange. Rory didn't usually like eating Turkey, but their was something about this sandwhich that was seriously making him think about buying a second one. As for his choice of crisps. Well he was being plain and simple today, and had gone for a simple packet of Ready Salted. Sandwhich finished, he had made up his mind. He stood up and got himself another sandwhich. As soon as he sat down, a person shot into the seat oppisate him. Well, if it isn't my little Irish lucky charm. He swolled his bite of Turkey and said, "Hey there Hutch. How you doing?" He said, his accent rolling of tongue, making it so that unless you hung around with him a lot, it would be very hard to understand him.

The minute he spoke and that accent hit her ear, it took all her energy not to squeal. It was seriously the most amazing accent she had ever heard. Also her nickname sounded even more awesome in that thick Irish voice. Hey there Hutch. How you doing? She knew how she was doing. She was drowning in his accent but she couldn't very well say that. She was suppose to be crushing on Finn, not drooling over Rory's accent. I'm better now that I'm with a friend. She smiled at him again. Hoping that maybe he had been leaving as he stood up before she slide in across from him. Were you about to leave? He smile wavered slightly without her realizing it.

Rory knew for a fact that his accent was the one thing he had that drove girls crazy. Back in Ireland it was useless because everyone sounded the same to each other. At least here he had one thing that drove girls crazy. I'm better now that I'm with a friend Rory gave Lyric a small smile at this. Apart from the New Directions members, Lyric was really the only other person he could count as his friend. Were you about to leave?

Lyric knew that she was crazy about Finn but she really liked Rory too. Besides Rory was actually free and there was a chance he might like her back. There was something she knew for almost certain. if Finn wanted her, she would go to him. Even if she was dating Rory. That's how much she liked him right now but that might change for all she knew. She was still trying to figure that all out at the moment. No. I was getting another Turkey sandwhich. Why? Am I'm boring you already? She looked at him shocked and then she beamed. You are never a bore. You're awesome.

She obviously thought that he was being serious by the look on her face, but then she broke into a smile, beamed at him and said, You are never a bore. You're awesome. Rory smiled at this. In the short space of time that he had come to know Lyric, he had learnt one thing. He could always rely on her to cheer him up, make him laugh, or just generally make him good about himself, no matter how he felt. He shot a smile back at her and said, Thanks Lyric. You're pretty awesome yourself. Rory genuinely enjoyed spending time with Lyric. There was just something about her he liked. Her uniqueness, the way she took no nonsense from anyone, and the way she was prepared to stand up for herself. It put her apart from the other girls, and it was what Rory liked about her.

Lyric wasn't sure what Rory liked about her that was enough to send time with her. Then again he was in glee club. Maybe that was it. He thought that she was normal and not the circus freak that she was called. That made her feel special. She didn't know why. Thanks Lyric. You're pretty awesome yourself. He always said little things that made her smile. He made her confused sometimes though but that was her own fault. She let the accent get to her and cloud her thoughts. Though that and the fact that he was nice didn't make anything esier for her. You really think so?]

What made him want to spend time with her? He couldn’t really say. There was just something about Lyric that made him feel happy. It was probably her, uniqueness. She was a pretty amazing girl. It might also have had something to with the fact that she was the one girl outside of Glee Club that he could actually talk to without fear of being attacked by other people. He had never thought of her as a Circus Freak. To him, she was in no way, a freak. She was just herself. But then again, Rory knew what it was like to be an outcast. Outside of Glee Club, he had very few friends. You really think so? Of course. Everyday with you is amazing It was true. He always enjoyed spending time with Lyric. There was never a dull moment around her.

Lyric liked Rory. He was quite fun to spend time around. His accent always made her smile. Also he never called her names or tried to insult her. He accepted her for what she was and she enjoyed that little fact. There wasn't mucht that could be doen to change that little fact. She was quite content to hold on to this friendship. Heck, sometimes she thought they might make a cute couple but she never wanted to risk losing his friendship. Of course. Everyday with you is amazing. She beamed at him. Well, I am glad that you think so.

Rory couldn't think of any reason why he would insult Lyric. Well, apart from the fact that she could most likely smack him down if she wanted to. But mainly it was because the two of them were a bit alike. They were both hated on for being different. She ws considered strange simply because of her personality, and he was hated on simply because he was Irish. He was quite content with their friendship, and personally hoped that nothing would ever ruin their friendship. Well, I am glad that you think so. He smiled back at her, raised his drink and said Well then. Heres to our friendship. He drained the rest of his glass, before getting up and saying I'm going to get a coffee. You want one?

Her friendship with Rory was one of the things that she treasured. It was probably one of the best friendships that she had had since she met Noah Puckerman when she was three years old. Though Rory understand what she was going though. They picked on him simply for being Irish. So, retard had even once told him to go back to Mexico. The kids of the school teams weren't always the most educated of people. Though the time she spent with Rory was fun. Even when she got to drowning in his accent. When he raised his drink, she raised her soda can. Well then. Heres to our friendship. She smiled and took a gulp of soda. She noticed him stand and looked at him. I'm going to get a coffee. You want one? She smiled. I'd love one. Words; 162 Tagged; My Little Irish Lucky Charm <333 Muse; TAKE A BOWNotes; sorry it took so long
