Rachel knew it was probably not the smartest idea she had to go out to study so late. But she didn't want to be faced with people from Slytherin hurling abuse at her at every given moment. Rachel tried to not let it bother her too much. It was way too much trouble for her to do so. They were narrow minded, that was all. They couldn't accept that she wasn't at least a half-blood. Rachel was proud of being Muggle Born. She'd never let it bother her.
Rachel creeps out of the Hufflepuff common room, careful not to wake any of the other girls up as she leaves her dorm. RRachel picks up her book bag on her way out, which she'd tucked underneath one of the couches. Looking both ways, Rachel steps outside, and heads up to the Astronomy Tower. It was a beautiful place, and the only people that would come up where people who where there to study as well.
Thankfully, on the way there, Rachel didn't get caught by any professors or prefects. Taking a deep breath, Rachel looks around, taking in the view from the tower, before taking her books out, hastily writing down her homework, not paying attention to see if someone had came up or not.

After dinner had finished, Rory hadn’t even bothered to go back to the Common Room. He had just started wondering the Castle instead. Of course he was worried about running into Slytherins. As he was just a Half-Blood, he didn’t have as bad the Muggle-Borns, but as he still had it bad. Sometimes he wished that they weren’t so narrow-minded. After a few hours wondering, he had decided that it was time to head to the Library and do the Defense Against the Dark Arts Homework. As nice as Professor Schuester was, he wouldn’t accept no homework, not now the Exams were getting this close.
He hadn’t even realized it had gotten late, until the Librarian came shooing him out, shouting at him that he wanted to close up and get to bed. So Rory put up his near completed essay in his bag, along with his book and writing materials and headed out the library. He looked at his watch, and saw that he was in fact, outside of Curfew. If he was to avoid getting caught by the professor, he was going to have to be careful.
But Rory couldn’t help it though. The night sky had always fascinated him, and on such a cloudless night as tonight, he’d be a fool, to allow this chance at seeing the full moon so clearly, to slip through his fingers. A little detour wouldn’t hurt. So he simply slipped through a small side passage, and came out in the corridor leading to the Astronomy Tower. As quickly, and as quietly as he could, he ran through the corridor and up the stairs. As he wasn’t expecting anyone else to be up here this late at night, he ran straight into someone who appeared to be doing their homework. After a couple of moments as his vision became clearer, he realized who it was. Rachel Berry, a Hufflepuff who was a couple of years older than him. He got up, brushed down his uniform and offered his hand to her, as he had knocked her to the floor moments ago. Sorry about that. Didn’t realize there’d be anyone else up here he said, the words thick with his Irish accent.

Rachel was beyond sick of the crap she got from the Slytherins, or any of the other pureblood supremacists, for that matter. She didn't see why it mattered, really. Because Rachel only felt like the person's ability mattered and what they did with it made a true wizard. As long as they tried, and didn't use their powers for anything bad, then to Rachel? That was a true wizard. She didn't care if other people tried to prove her wrong, and that was exactly why she tried so hard to do her best in classes.
Rachel was so into doing her homework, that she didn't even notice someone coming upstairs, until they ran into her, causing her to fall onto the ground. Groaning a little, Rachel sits up, and rubs her back, before looking up. She half expected the person to be a Slytherin who pushed her over for a laugh, but it was a fellow Hufflepuff, who was a few years younger than her, and it looked as though he'd accidentally knocked her over. "Sorry about that. Didn’t realize there’d be anyone else up here"

Recognizing the accent, Rachel raises her eyebrow slightly "You're...Rory, right?"[/b]. She nods slightly, almost positive that she was correct. "I'm Rachel Berry."[/b]. She holds her hand out to him to shake, smiling softly. WORDS:[/b] 248 MUSE:[/b] NONE TAGS:[/b] RORY NOTES:[/b] NONE[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote][/justify][/size]
