Okay, she maybe she had finally pushed her luck. Maybe nothing was going to go her way. Lucy didn't care. Whatever got that bastard that claimed to be her father away from her. He was the reason that her life sucked. It was all his fault. He screwed everything up. It was his fault that her mother abandoned her because he decided that she wasn't enough for him. Then it was his fault that her mother had ended up getting murder in the bar she had worked out about a year ago. The only reason she even knew that was that she'd received the life insurance payment. Her father hadn't known until she had screamed it at him during a fight a few works ago. She even blamed Kurt pushing her away on the man. She claimed that her father had made her too well behaved to remain his friends. Then he had disappeared from Lima and her life.
Though everything seemed to change all of a sudden. Half way through senior year, she realized while the new kid had looked so familiar. It was Kurt. He was just older and different. He didn't talk to anyone. He didn't try to make friend. She had learned that he lived on his own in an apartment in Lima Heights. If he had recognized her, he hadn't made in mention of it to anyone. Puck had been trying to get her to let him mess around with her again when he caught her eyeing up the new kid. Usually she only agreed cause of two reasons. Puck was actually pretty fun to mess around with and her father hated him more than anything.
The thing that changed everything the most was the fact that her father had broken the fail straw. He'd come home a few hours ago and told her that he was remarrying. The first thing out of her mouth had been 'What bitch would marry you?'. He had ended up telling her who and it had been the chick that he'd cheated on her mother with. There had been a few choice words spoken and a lot of name calling that had ended in her father slapping her and tell her that she could have all her thing even her car and that she was to get the hell out and never come back.
That was how she had gotten here. A bruise forming on her cheek and her small black SUV filled with her clothes and all the stuff that mattered to her. She had been racking her brain for a place t stay. Normally she would have gone to Blaine. Though that had gone to hell over the summer when they had gotten in a fight over a guy. A guy that he was now dating. Not that she cared. Friends came and went with her. Most people did't handle her personality and rebel attitude very well. This was what had lead her to being parked outside of these apartments and walking towards the only person that she thougth might not turn her away. That was how she ended up knocking on the door off Kurt Hummel's apartment.

Lima. Brilliant. Kurt always knew that one day, he was going to come back to the town. He hated it here. More than anything. There were far too many memories here..Ones he'd rather just forget forever. But he'd just be wondering why the hell he was always feeling so....empty. It didn't matter what he did -- the feeling of being elated never lasted long for him at all. It happened after that car crash on the bridge on the free way. Both of his parents died as a result, and he was lucky enough to be sitting in the back seat, and managed to get out before the whole car had just erupted into flames before he could even think about trying to get one of them out. After that, none of his family could take him in -- neither had enough room or money to keep him. Not that Kurt really cared. Nothing actually was important to him any more.
So, the best choice for him, apparently, was to go into be placed in the care of a foster family. The first one that offered to take him that was the best choice for him lived in California. That was ... fun. If, by fun you mean "one of the most traumatic experiences ever". The sun and the heat? Did nothing but irritate his skin. It was too bright for him, and it was impossible for him to settle in their. His foster parents had also tried to make him happy again. They failed, and it didn't really do much to help Kurt, except make him moodier and far more belligerent than he usually was. Probably not what they were expecting from the small eleven year old when they first took him in. It continued after a couple more months, with no signs of improvement, and not being able to take him any more, Kurt was thrown into another foster home, waiting for someone to take him in again. Numerous families from different states took him in, trying to make that part of him go away, in attempt to get him back to his "Old Self" before giving up a few months later, and he was put in foster home after foster home; he never stayed anywhere more than a year. Not one of them seemed to realize, or care that it felt to him as though a part of him had died along with his parents.
Then, just before he started Senior Year, Kurt had decided that enough was enough, and he was going to just find a place to stay on his own, and make his own way. He had to find a place to stay before the school year started before he even suggested it. Kurt wasn't counting on anyone else taking him in. Who would even take a seventeen year old who has had countless families had to let him go because of how problematic he was in their lives. Annoyingly for him though, the only place he could find for him that had the type of school he was looking for was Lima...The one place he never wanted to return to. But he knew that anything was better than living in a place where he knew no-one actually gave a damn about him. So, after a few arguments and dealings with paper work, he finally went back to the town where all of this hell started.
The place he managed to find was in the apartments in Lima Heights. Even back when he used to live here, it was a bit of a rough area, but if he kept to himself, he knew he would be fine. No one recognized him when he went to school the next day, and if they did, they didn't bother to mention that they did. Which, actually, suited him just fine. The only problem was the fact that he was a new kid. A million different people had came at him at all angles, trying to find out more about them, but all Kurt had revealed was his first name, and the fact that he didn't want to be friends with any of them. So, after a while, people stopped trying to talk to him, and Kurt made no efforts to talk to anyone unless he needed to, such as when he was asked a question -- only giving a proper one when it was a teacher -- and when he needed something. Otherwise, he didn't speak at all, usually just sitting on the roof or the bleachers, listening to music during his breaks and free periods.
His nights were pretty much the same, though he was in his apartment, finishing off any homework that had been assigned before he would retreat to his room or the balcony to listen to his music until he got so tired, desperate for the toilet, or tired that he had to move from his bed and satisfy his needs, before returning straight back to what he was doing. Though, on occasion, he would sit in his room, playing piano, or singing, or -- on very rare occasions -- both. It was really the only thing that had remained the same since his parents were still alive. Music had always been an important part of his life. It was what he wanted to do, but never had the heart to do anything about it.
He was playing Memories of You by Yumi Kawamura on his piano that night. He'd finished the song, picked up his iPod, and was about to go out on the balcony when the door was knocked. Kurt froze. His eyes narrowing at the door. No one had ever knocked on it before when he lived here. No one had came to visit him, and he'd never ordered anything. There wasn't any people asking for directions either. So why the hell was his door being knocked now. Staring at the door suspiciously for a few more seconds, Kurt slipped his iPod into his back pocket before creeping over to the door, opening it only a tiny bit so he could see the person at the door, and that they could see him.
At the door, was a girl with a bruise forming on her face, and seemed to have pretty much everything she owned with her. Kurt sighed a little. Just what he needed -- more problems. Thinking a little...Kurt did recognize her, though he wasn't sure where from. Though from her age, it was easier for him to assume that they went to school together and that was the only reason why she was at his door. Why was she at his house though? The house of that new kid who didn't bother to make any friends with? "Sorry...You've got the wrong place.."
[/b] He muttered, not meeting her gaze.It was weird for him to use his voice. Any time he opened his mouth...It just came out hollow. "You're better off talking to a wall"[/b]. Just as he was about to close the door on her, it hit Kurt where he actually recognize her from -- or where he thought he recognized her. Opening the door only a little more, Kurt looked at her raised eyebrows, and speaking with a shocked tone to his voice "L-Lucy?"[/b]. His eyes narrowed as he tried to figure out if that was her or not, and the fact that he'd spoken with another emotion that wasn't anything related to anger in six years. But..it couldn't actually be her. Could it? WORDS:[/B] 1258 MUSE:[/B] KIMI NO KIOKU (MEMORIES OF YOU)[/b][/size][/font][/url] TAGS:[/B] LUCY <3 NOTES:[/B] I got carried away with the length, ahaha. In all honestly, she was here because she really had no where else to go in Lima. Any of the people she called friends wouldn't take her in. They were though type of people that help each other unless it was staying out of trouble. The Blaine bridge was burned. Also, she could have asked Puck. Though that would have only got her one night and he'd expect certain things from her. Also she just wasn't in the mood to deal with him and his insensitive nature. Besides that was her very extremely last resort.
There was a reason she had gone to Kurt. They had been super close at one point. She and Kurt didn't call each other best friends but people assumed that they were. Then the accident that had started everything in this spiral that seemed to be both their lives happened. He started to push people away from him. The closer you were to him the faster you went away. So, without his parents, she had been the first to be pushed away. She'd cried for a day before deciding that it wasn't with her time and energy to cry. Her problems started there with her keying 'LIFE FUCKING SUCKS' in the principal's car. When Kurt left Lima, everything spun itself to this very point. Seven years ago, Lucy never thought that she would end up here. Not ever.
When the door opened, Lucy was hoping that he would know it was her. That the door wouldn't get closed in her face. She'd been hoping he'd understand. She had no one. When they were youngr and had been close, Kurt knew that her father was never really a father to her. He just tolerated her for her mother's sake. Sorry...You've got the wrong place.. That voice sounded so unused and she knew why. he did talk to people. With his words and the slow motion of the door starting to close, her entire self sank internally. Though externally she had no emotion. It was simple and there was just nothing she could think to say as he started to close the day. Though she had to stop him. Before she could have reacted though, he had stopped trying to close the door and opened it further. "L-Lucy? Her name was rolling off his lips in shock. It sounded so odd after eleven years as the last time that he had said it, it was followed by 'I don't want to be friends with you anymore'. When she looked up, her eyes met his. Then only spark in the eyes he use to remember being so full of life was defiance. Long time, no see, Kurt.

It was weird for Kurt, to think that he did have a friend like Lucy all those years ago...Hell, it was just unusual to think that he had anyone he was close to before all of this. He was only in Lima for two more weeks after his parents died. The first person he pushed away was Lucy, bluntly telling her that he didn't want to be friends any more. He felt awful at the time for doing it and was incredibly shocked when he found out about her keying the principal's car, but he didn't want to get too close to anyone again, and started with pushing everyone he knew. Anyway, as time went by, he didn't really feel the regret as much. By the time he left Lima, there was pretty much no one who he didn't , or at least attempt to, burn his bridges with.
In the past, Kurt was aware that Lucy and her father...they weren't close. He wasn't really a father, but maybe that had changed? He didn't know. Kurt didn't know about anything changing in this town and he wasn't prepared to ask why. Looking into her eyes...the spark in her eyes wasn't full of life any more..It was just defiant. What had caused this? Kurt thought about opening his mouth to ask about it, but decided against it. It would just be a burden..and wouldn't help with his misery at all. "Long time, no see, Kurt."
[/b]. She remembered him[/i]. She actually remembered him. Someone who recognized him actually mentioned it. "Yeah....it has been a while"[/b] He felt somewhat elated, before shoving it away. It didn't mean anything. It wasn't a big deal. Besides, how did she even find out where he lived? It wasn't something he'd told people. Kurt sighs as he rests his hand on the door frame, looking at her. "Lucy, what are you doing here?"[/b] WORDS:[/B] 321 MUSE:[/B] SICK LITTLE GAMES.[/b][/size][/font][/url] TAGS:[/B] LUCY <3 NOTES:[/B] So weird switching between all these different Kurts xD[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote][/justify][/size][/justify]

It was kind of weird seeing Kurt as not an eleven year old boy. Maybe that was just because it wasn't something that she was use to. It probably was something she would just get use to. There wasn't really anything else to say about it. Though then again she was sure she looked quite grown up as well. That might have been why he didn't realize it was her. Then again Lucy was never really one to forget a face. Especially that of the boy she'd been friends with from the ages of six to eleven. Probably wouldn't have been a longer friendship had the fates been nicer to both of them.
There was no way the Kurt knew how her life had gone. She had no clue about his after he'd left. They both only knew that beginning of the other's story. His started with a crash. Hers started with nine words that broke her. The only thing he would have known about with the keying of the principal's car. She had worked her way up from there. A few minor things happened but she didn't get caught for those. When she was thirteen, her father wouldn't let her go visit her grandmother, so she trashed his office as work one weekend. When she was fifteen and she had learned the reason why her mother had left and hadn't taken her with her. Well, she had lit her father's car on fire.
For years now, people were saying that she belonged in a stricter school. In all reality, she just needed to get away from her father. The longer she was around him the more her spark for life slowly chipped away. After seven years with her once closest friend and three years without her mother, all she had left was defiance. She was truly broken. Maybe not as bad and not a quickly as Kurt had been. She knew his pain was worse and would never say that she suffered worse. Though techincally neither had their parents. His both tragically killed. Her mother murdered and a father that had always been emotionally absent.
Yeah....it has been a while. This conversation was going to be slightly awkward but she would rather go to him then anyone else. He still knew her better than most people and this was the first they had spoken in a long time. Yeah...I didn't expect to ever see you again. That was so probably not the right thing to say but she couldn't take it back now. Lucy, what are you doing here? The question she had wanted to hear but had also been dreading. She took a deep breath and then look Kurt in the eyes again. I was hoping that I could ask a favor of you.]

Quinn looked completely different, though, after not seeing each other for nearly seven years, it made sense that she would change somewhat. Kurt didn't know if he'd changed much in appearance. He was a lot taller -- he was really short back then, and now, he was just under six foot. There was a few things he knew that were different, even though they were minor, but after being that close all those years ago...it was easy for him to know what was different. Which started to make him think...Would they still be that close if he'd never had to leave, and if his parents had never died?
It was awkward from the next time he spoke after realizing that it was Lucy at his door and not some random girl knocking. This was probably what seven years of not talking to anyone had done to him..He couldn't even talk to someone whom he used to be so close to. Damn, life was a complete bitch at times. Though, there wasn't a thing to be done about it. Kurt had learned long ago that his life was just going to be shit. He would still have his parents otherwise, or at the very least one of them so he had someone to share the pain with. But no...he hadn't been that lucky. "Yeah...I didn't expect to ever see you again"
[/b][/i]. Kurt smiles wryly, looking away from her "I wouldn't be back here if I could have helped it"[/b] He says, sighing. Okay. That was probably a little more insensitive. Though, it was true. "I was hoping that I could ask a favor of you."[/b][/i]. His stomach fell, hearing her speak. A favour? That wasn't going to be good. And she was holding his gaze. This was so crazy. Lucy honestly couldn't believe that she had done. It had been seven years. He wouldn't be the boy she knew. He'd suffered to much. They both had. Though his was much more painfully and obvious. Hers hid silence and behind the scenes. Slowly destroying her from the inside out. Nothing could get either back to the little kids they use to be. The big bad world had decided to rip them apart, destroy both of them and through them back together. Why was this? She didn't feel like she would be able to help him at all. She was just giving up on people. Maybe they could suffer together. If he even let her be near him.
I wouldn't be back here if I could have helped it. It hurt to hear that. But Lucy knew why. It was just too much pain to bare being here for him, for hers. For both of them. Lima seemed to make their lives hell. I know. This place has too many dark memories. There was a coldness if her voice that hadn't been there a minute ago. Kurt could tell it was implying something but had no way to know what. What kind of favour..? It was best to just say it. No beating around the bush. She wouldr ather just know now if she'd be living in her car. I need a place to stay. I was hoping you might help me out. She looked at her feet. Smart choice. At the kid who told you he didn't want to be your friend anymore for a play to stay.

Kurt really wished it was easier for him to hide how much he actually was hurting...He wouldn't have people constantly asking if he was okay, trying to help him. If he could hide what he was feeling, he could maybe just pretend that he was just shy, and like to avoid social interactions as much as he could. Well, that was partly true. The world really was just...a complete bitch to both him and Lucy. He knew that she didn't exactly have a nice, cosy life, but he didn't know any details. He wasn't really wanting to let her in...to suffer with him. But the eleven year old that was still in him? The happy one before he lost anyone? He was fighting against his present self at the moment.
Lima really was a hell-hole. Kurt couldn't think of anyone that actually did like it here....that didn't have anything remotely bad happen. Sure, the same was true for a lot of places, but Lima? To Kurt, it was like a magnet, pulling anything bad towards it. "I know. This place has too many dark memories"
[/b][/i]. He sighs a little, giving a quick nod "Far too many...I promised myself I wouldn't come back because of it"[/b] " I need a place to stay. I was hoping you might help me out."[/b][/i]. Life was really bitch sometimes. Bitch with a capital b. Lucy really hated that little fact. It made life a lot harder than it had to be. Maybe all she needed was someone to understand her pain. Maybe that was way Kurt had come back into her life. Were they suppose to help each other find a way to be somewhat happy? Then again happiness seemed to far away to even be realistic. Though it was life. She needed someone and so did Kurt whether he liked it or not. A person can't spend their life alone in their sadness. She wouldn't let him and maybe if helping him, he might help her too.
Lima was hell. It really was the only way to describe it for the two of them. They would never be happy here. Maybe someday they could get out and stay out of this town. Far too many...I promised myself I wouldn't come back because of it. She looked at Kurt. He seemed to have broken that promise. Then why did you come back? His eyes narrowed on her. Though when she locked eyes with him, she didn't look away this time. Why me? There was no expression on her face that changed. Just empty defiant eyes. Because you are the only one in this town that might actually help me.

Deep down...Kurt knew that he did need help. He did know that this wasn't the right way to live at all...But if he got help, that would have to make him get close to someone again. What if he lost them as well as his parents? It would just rip open the wound again, and it would be worse than ever. That's what was stopping him. Though, he had been dragged into Figgins' office, telling him that he had to go see Miss Pillsbury tomorrow about his problems.
"Then why did you come back?"

At school tomorrow, words would be around about what had happened at her house. She have smashed in the windows to her father's car and lit it on fire once again. Though only two people would probably know it was her that had done it. One would Blaine because he just knew things. Though depsite everything , she trusted him not to tell on her. The other was Kurt and that was only because she was standing on porch at this moment. her problems were just as bad as his. Also she knew when her father told the school, that she was acting out because they had recently learned on her mother's death. She'd be in Miss Pilslbury's office with in the week.
Either here or being in that...foster home for another year. It's not fun being forced to be around people who just don't care about you every second of your life. Lucy understood that. It was pretty much what life with her father was like. Though she knew someone her cared about Kurt. Though she knew no one who cared about her. There is someone that cares about you, Kurt. He had raised an eyebrow at her. Apparently this shocked him. Is there really no-one else? I'll only drag you down.. She sighed but didn't break eye contact. Anything that Lucy told him would be kept secret. It was something Kurt could trust himself with. His oath of silence to the world pretty much guaranteed with him. All secrets anyone had shared with him hadn't left his mouth. He never thought it was anyone else's business, and he didn't even like talking to people.

Secrets were what ruled her life. She had so many herself that she had locked away. It wasn't hard to figure out through. She'd become so haunted over the years. Though no one had actually been around to notice or care. Not even Blaine had noticed. He believed the mask. yet barely five minutes in Kurt's doorway and he'd know before her mask have even slipped. Of course, he would know. Even seven years apart and he still would know. Heck, their was no way he couldn't know. He understood it all too well.
No one cares about me. They say they do, but if you look at them in the eye close enough, you can tell that they really, really don't. You're just a burden to them. Hearing this, Lucy almost dropped the box she was holding. He'd see someone who cared if he would look into her eyes for more than five seconds. It was buried behind lifelessness and defiance but she knew he would see. Maybe if you opened your eyes you would see. Why was he being so difficult with this. It was Lucy. The girl he'd been through everything will when he was little. The one who had peck him on the lips as dare in the second grade and started their friendship. Either it really has been too long, or you are in a really bad way. A tear slide down her cheek and she dropped the box to wipe the offending things away. He wouldn't see her cry. She didn't want pity. She wanted someone who understood. She wasn't counting on him being that. Would I be standing here if I was in a good way?

Kurt finds that it's kind of clear to see that Lucy was hiding things. Like how she portrayed herself wasn't how she was feeling. It was probably their closeness in their past years made that clear to him, along with he face that he saw the look every day when he looked in the mirror when he woke up. Everyday, he told himself "Today, I'll smile and tell people I'm fine. And they'll believe it." Almost all of that happened. The only thing that didn't was the smile. No matter what he did, a convincing smile would never come. It was always coming out wry..broken. No one would ever believe it.
"Maybe if you opened your eyes you would see."
[/b][/i]. Kurt scoffs a little, avoiding her gaze. He closes his eyes and breathes heavily. "Please...just don't, Lucy. I've heard it so many times"[/b] If it was those years...When they were so close, after her kissing him as part of a dare that sparked their friendship, Kurt would have believed her, but he couldn't at this moment. After being given up on for so many years, it would be hard to believe that his parents care for him, if, by some miracle they came back to life. Seeing tears fallling down her face, Kurt looks crestfallen. This...this was why he didn't speak to people, along with not wanting to get close..He'd become so deprived of social interactions that he had no idea what to say to anyone. It was clear to her that Kurt wasn't his old self. She'd known this the minute she had realized it was him. That had been the main reason it took her a few times of seeing him to know for sure. So many secrets for her and he understood. So, much pain for him and she understood. Both were parentless despite the difference in the way it had happened. They had so much pain they both understood. Though she seemed to care too much about helping him and he didn't seem to care at all.
Please...just don't, Lucy. I've heard it so many times. Like every time she is nervous, Lucy's hand goes up the necklace she never takes off. A small green stone heart on a black leather string. She rubs her fingers over the heart. It was a birthday from the eleven year old version of the boy in front of her. She remembered him saying he'd always be with her. Remember this? She wished he'd let her back in. Though it was doubtful. I suppose not.. She picked the box back up. I'm sorry I bothered you.
