It was the end of Cheerios practice for the day. The girl had already head into the locker room to change and go home. The football team had left long before they were even half way done with their practice. They tended to have longer practices lately as they were busy getting ready so they could qualify for their Nationals. This year with the disappearance of Quinn Fabray's presence from the Cheerios the team seemed different. Though it hadn't helped that Becky's mother had pull her out of school recently do to a move. Then Santana had gone and upset Coach Sylvester in some way. That was how when she had been told to see the coach this morning she had been afraid. She shouldn't have been in trouble. She'd been being good. It turned out that she wasn't in trouble at all.
It was still hard to wrap her head around. That she, Lyric V. Hutchinson, was Head Cheerio. It was still something she had to get use to. Though she had bigger things to deal with on top of that. She was fake dating Kurt Hummel, McKinley residence badass and closet gay. He claimed by but she could tell. He was gay. Totally gay and there was no question about it to her. She knew it the first time he'd kissed her in public because some one thought they were faking it. Though they could both make a believable kiss as no one had questioned them after that.
Straightening out her skirt, Lyric glanced around the field. She had only now just realized that someone was still out there. She looked closely. They weren't super big but they were tiny. She smirked. It had to be Blaine. He was the kicker for the team despite that he could have been quarterback. maybe he'd get his shot when Hudson was gone. Though she knew his sport was baseball. Sure, this was only her second year at mcKinley and she was only a sophomore. However, she had watched enough last year to know all the guys who played the three main teams best sport. Suddenly the ball rolled between her feet. She saw him standing still. then without thinking about hiding it, she picked up the football and tossed it back. It sailed perfectly through the air and was right on target.

Blaine wouldn't go as far as to say he was angry, but he wasn't exactly jumping for joy, either. He could've made quarterback. He knew it, coach knew it, hell, even Finn freakin' Hudson knew it. But no, he was stuck as kicker. Blaine supposed he couldn't really complain. It wasn't like football was his main sport, the sport that really got his adrenaline pumping and the sweat dripping, and his whole body just surging with energy. No. That was baseball. But Blaine figured he already had two sports going, why not try for three? Three was the magic number, after all. It wasn't like football was his passion or anything, but come on, he was Blaine Anderson. He wanted to be the best that he could, do the best that he could, and to be honest, he wasn't going to achieve that by taken up position of kicker. Blaine just guessed it would have to do, for now. He'd just climb his way up the ladder until Finn was eating his dust and he was star quarterback of the football team. Yeah. Sounded like a plan.
Blaine did basketball, too, but that was a kind of 'on the side' thing. Mainly just to prove that because yes, he was short, it did not mean he sucked at the sport. Because really, he didn't. He was like some ninja on the court, running between players and stealing the ball, counting on the accuracy in the flick of his wrist to score hoops. His methods worked, so he wasn't complaining. It was just nice to prove people wrong. Just part of his whole pride thing, the fact that Blaine hated to see people talk behind his back and say he couldn't do things when really, they knew nothing. He'd done it before, and he was positive he could do it as many times as he needed to until people just learnt that they didn't know fucking everything. As of right now, he wasn't really proving anyone wrong. Just practicing his kicks for actual games. The Cheerios had just finished, so he guessed it was safe to come out of hiding in the locker rooms and return to the field. Blaine hadn't counted on one of the girls staying behind, nor for her to pick up the ball when it accidentally got away from him. In all honesty, he was expecting some throw from hell to come his way, eyes widening in surprise when she threw it right into his arms. Blaine caught it with ease, holding it in his one hand and juggling it round a little, before deciding to approach her. A Cheerio couldn't really do much harm, right? Surprise crossed his features yet again as he drew closer, quirking a smile. " Hummel's girl.. what're you doing out here? "

Okay, so she knew how to throw at football. People really shouldn't be that weirded out by it. She had been friends with Noah Puckerman forever and a day. So, it wasn't that hard to figure out where her skill had sprouted from at least. Though it didn't really seem like he was going to ask her about that. He was probably more interested in why she was still out her. Heck, if it was Puck or Hudson they would have been flirting up a storm, despite her being the girlfriend of the school residence badass. A title Puck tried to claim but couldn't get as Kurt was a bigger badass then Puck. She watched Blaine catch the ball with ease as it sailed right to him. Then he juggled it for an moment before moving towards her.
Hummel's girl.. what're you doing out here? Lyric rolled her eyes. Sure, she was technically dating Kurt but that didn't mean that she would tolerate being refused to as property. Though she would do so playfully. Anderson, I do have an actual name in case you have forgotten. She reached up to adjust her ponytail slightly. Then looked at him. As for why I am out here, as the captain of the Cheerios. I have to make sure that everything is in order before I leave.
