It was Quinn's first full day back in Lima after she had stayed over at Blaine's house two weekends ago. Some stuff had happened and she had been afraid of what happened when they would go back to school the next Monday. the minute that she had left Blaine's house, she called Frannie. The girl had been more then grateful to help her baby sister. Two hours later, Quinn was in a car leaving Lima. Her mother had gotten her out of school for two weeks and her sister was taking her to Chicago to enjoy the time away to clear her head. She had totally needed it. She couldn't stand to think that she had ruined her longest running friendship. It was too much for her to handle.
The two weeks were spent forgetting Lima. She didn't answers texts from anyone. Not Finn, Puck, Santana, Brittany, Sam. even Rachel had texted her. She had a bunch of ignored calls from Kurt and Lyric. Though Blaine was the worst. He was texting her every fifteen minutes when he was awake and calling every two hours. She hadn't read any of his texts or answered his phone calls. Sure, she felt horrible but both her and Blaine needed time to think about what had happened, what she had start. If only he hadn't offered her any damn wish that she wanted.
Currently she was sitting on a swing in the park. Quinn couldn't believe that she had ignored Blaine for two whole weeks. last night we she had gotten back to Lima, she had seen Blaine's car outside her house and he was asleep in the driver's seat. the sight alone had made her cry herself to sleep. She had messaged him this afternoon and asked him to met her at the swings were they first met when Jason had pulled her pigtail and pushed her down at the age of seven. He'd only been five at the time. She didn't know what she would say to Blaine. She had listened to every message he left her and read every text. Tears had run down her face at how she could have ever ignored the sweetest boy that she ever knew.

Blaine didn't even know what to do. He hadn't spoken to Quinn, his best friend since like fucking forever, for about two weeks now, and it was starting on the borderline of hell. He missed her so much. Whenever he felt like this usually, or he was just depressed, or angry, or needed to vent, she was always there for him. But where was she now? He didn't even know. And why? Because she wasn't answering her phone. Not at all. He'd called, and texted, and texted, and called, and nothing. Blaine was positive he'd done something wrong. Something so incredibly awful, he didn't even know where to start. He couldn't make things better - one, because Quinn wasn't talking to him, and two, because he didn't even know what he'd done wrong. She'd stayed the weekend before disappearing, and sure, they'd kissed, but that wasn't.. bad. Blaine was going to be honest, he'd liked it. Because a part of him had been wanting Quinn for a long time, and even though it had been small to start with, it had grown. He'd always assumed he couldn't, because they were best friends, and it would be totally wrong of him to make any kind of move. Yeah, well. Now they'd kissed. And what should've possibly been one of the happiest moments of his life had quickly turned into a small disaster.
But then she'd texted him, and wow, had his hopes been raised sky high or what? Blaine didn't care that he was missing some guitar thing of his to meet up with Quinn, because she was more than worth it. He needed to see her. Needed to know that she was alright, that things hadn't completely gone down the drain with them. If they had.. Blaine didn't know if he'd be able to bring himself to smile ever again. It would be like losing a part of him, a part that was very, very important. A part he couldn't function without. No.. he needed Quinn to be alright. A kiss couldn't have messed everything up, could it? It was just a kiss. Except Blaine knew that he was wrong, as much as it hurt to admit it. He just had to cross his fingers and hope that their relationship was as strong as he thought it was, and was able to overcome this obstacle. He followed her instructions, walking to the park quickly and heading towards the swings. Blaine guessed where she'd be. Where they first met, when he was only five, and his idiot of a brother had pushed her down. He didn't know any better at the time, but if it was now, he would've stood up for her in an instant. Blaine always did - she was his Lucy.
It really didn't take long to find her. Blaine could recognise her amongst a crowd of people, let alone in a barely busy park and being the only girl on the swings, it wasn't exactly rocket science. He hesitated for a moment, biting his lip as he paused. What if she was going to shout at him for what he did? Tell him she didn't want to see him again? Blaine couldn't handle that, he just couldn't. Shaking his head to try and rid such thoughts away, he took a deep breath, approaching her slowly and carefully sliding into the swing next to her. " Lucy..? "
It was kind of stupid, really. Blaine knew it was her, but for some reason, he felt like he had to make sure. The two weeks without her had really messed up his brain. " I'm.. sorry.. There was part of her that thought they maybe she had taken this whole thing too far. She just been so afraid that that kiss, no matter how amazing it may have been, would ruin them. It didn;t matter how much she had wanted it. It was too hard to think about losing her best friend. She had run away with her tail between her legs. She'd been a coward. She was never a coward which made everything seem worse. What if he hated her because she had left? What if he was going to yell at her and call her horrible things? That made her want to cry. She couldn't stand the thought of Blaine hating her. The pain would be too much for her to bear. Gosh, she was hoping that her cowardice hadn't burned their friendship away from her.
This was where it had all started eleven years ago. While, she hated jason with every fiber of her being, he had done one thing right in his pathetic existence. He had pushed her into the wood chips under the swing that day. That day made her who she was today. Sure they had been bullied someone but they had always had each other to cheer the other up. Blaine was everything to her and without him their was a whole in her heart that could never be fixed. he was too important and that made this all the more horrible. Would they still be friends? What would he say? Of he even started to get mad then she knew that she would cry. To lose him would be the slowly form of tortured to death imaginable.
Then she heard the swing next to her creak and the chains clink slightly. It was him. She just had that feeling. She always knew it. Though the heavy weight that was settling on her heart was too much to bear. Lucy..? The sound of her name on his lips was too much. She could almost hear the hurt that she had caused in his voice. This was way too much for her to handle. She couldn't bring herself to look. I'm.. sorry.. Suddenly, her head snapped up. There were tear tracks starting on her cheeks. Why are you apologizing? I should be the one asking you for forgiveness.

Blaine wasn't mad at Quinn in any way. He wasn't going to yell, or call her stupid names, or demand she tell him why she'd run away. He wasn't like that. He wasn't like that to anyone, because it was just plain rude, and if anything, Blaine liked to pride himself on his manners. Mostly, he was just upset. Upset that Quinn felt she couldn't talk to him about this, that she felt that they couldn't just work things out, like always. Like she couldn't go to him for comfort or warmth or anything like that. Blaine had always been there to make her feel better before, and although he was involved now, that didn't mean anything had changed. So they'd kissed, so what? He was still Blaine, and she was still Quinn, the very same Quinn he'd been happy to call his best friend for years and years and years. So why had everything suddenly changed? Blaine just couldn't help but feel like he'd done something wrong, something very, very wrong, and he didn't like it. He felt guilty. He felt guilty, and he didn't even know why, because he didn't even know why Quinn had gone in the first place. He just assumed it was his fault because everything had happened so close to the time they'd kissed. And in all honesty, Blaine was worried he'd made an absolute mess of things somehow.
When he first sat down, she couldn't, or wouldn't, look up, wouldn't hold his gaze, and Blaine's heart just plummeted. He hoped to god that whatever damage had been done was irreversible, because he knew for a fact he wasn't going to be able to continue for much longer if he didn't have his Quinn, his Lucy. She was like his other half, they were a package, and he needed her to function. After a few moments, she looked up, and Blaine's body ached in pain and sadness to see her crying. Why are you apologizing? I should be the one asking you for forgiveness.
Swallowing a little, Blaine looked to the ground, down at the wood chips. He wondered if he was sitting directly above the spot Quinn was pushed down, wondered if that eerie sense he felt in the air around him was nostalgia. Because they'd met here, their friendship had formed, and Blaine couldn't thank his lucky stars enough that his brother was an ass of enough to push a little girl down, which seemed like something odd to be thankful for. But he didn't care. It had brought him his Lucy, his best friend since forever and a day, and that was the most important thing that had happened to him, he was sure. Looking back up, Blaine's soft hazel gaze flicked to the side, looking deep into Quinn's eyes. He just held it for a few moments, taking in all the obvious pain he could see, his body feeling it, sharing the all the negative with his friend. Blaine sent a million tiny wishes up that things would improve, that they could make this better, because they had to. Blaine didn't know how much Quinn needed him, but he needer her like air. It was scary, and something he was kind of afraid to admit, but it was true. He'd never been so dependant on someone in his entire life before, but maybe that was a lie. Because maybe Blaine had felt like this for a long time. Maybe he'd known that he needed Quinn, that if she left, she'd take part of him with her. But that thought was daunting and Blaine had never accepted it, not once. Not until this moment. Not until now. " You don't need to apologize.. you don't need to ask for anything. Not from me. " He told her, softly, breathing slowly and trying his best not to pour his heart out like he wanted to so much. Taking a shaky breath, Blaine's eyes fluttered shut for a few brief moments, before he opened them again, looking up at Quinn and holding her gaze, just trying to communicate through his eyes that he wasn't mad, that he his heart belonged to her, that he needed her. Just trying to tell her everything he wanted to and everything that wouldn't come out of his mouth. " Please don't cry.. don't be upset.. you haven't done anything wrong. " His voice wavered, broken, as he gave a very quiet sniffle. " I just.. I want to know that you're okay.. that I haven't made a mess of anything.. please.. please tell me everything's fine. " WORDS : I don't knoww. TAG : Quinn. <333 MUSE : WINTERSONGNOTES : It wasn't.. I think I rambled a little myself here.
