Lyric had finally had the decision. She was going to audition for the McKinley High glee club. New Directions get ready to meet Lyric Hutchinson. She originally hadn't been sure if she was going to but then she had gotten on to IM last night. There she ran into Blainie-Boo again. Along with Blainie-Boo's Kurtiekins and Finnie-Bear. Also she kind of wanted to freak out this Rachel chick when the girl finally heard her sing.
Obviously she was a good singer if Vocal Adrenaline freaked out when she turned them down. They wanted her to change her whole look. She would had dressed normally for competition but not for her everyday dress. How she chose to walk the halls of the school was her choice. They had flipped even more when they found out that she had transferred to McKinley.
Now Lyric had managed to find the auditorium empty. This was the prefect time to practice. She raced down the stairs towards the stage. She knew she had the prefect song. She so hoped that it was enough to freak this Rachel chick out when she got up in front of the club to audition. She set her bag down on the edge of the stage and pulled out her ipod and speaker. She placed then next to her bag and set up the music for the song. Then she moved to the middle of the stage.
Dont want the sun to shine upon my face And i see your eyes and their glazy haze Your lips dont move But i hear what you're saying I look outside through the razor blades
And i crawl and i scrape and i feel for you But there's nothing There's nothing that i can do Im a freak Im the freak of the world Im a freak Freak of the world
Stars are shining oh so bright And i dont think everything's alright And i can't wake up Cuz i dream all night Yeah you're in my way And i can't get bye
And i beg and i cheat and i steal for you But there's nothing There's nothing that i can do Im a freak Im the freak of the world Im the freak of the world Im the freak of the world And there's nothing i can say And there's nthing you can do And there's nothing i can say or do
Dont want the sun to shine upon my face And i see your eyes and their glazy haze Your lips dont move but i hear what you're saying I look out side through the razor blades And i try (through the razor blades) And i scream (through the razor blades) I can see your face
Im the freak of the world Im the freak of the world Im the freak of the world And there is nothing i can say And there is nothing you can do And there is nothing i can say or do Caz im the freak of the world Im a freak Of the world
The whole time she was sing, Lyric hadn't realized that someone was watching her from behind the curtain. She had honestly thought that she was alone. She had put her emotion and all the feeling that Vocal Adrenaline had produced when they made her feel like a freak. This was probably one of her best performances which made her smile.

Rachel was totally stressed out at the moment. She was spending most of her time practicing in her room or in the auditorium to make sure she was the best of the best, but there was a nagging voice at the back of her head saying that there was someone out there who was much more talented than she could ever be. There was also the on-going drama between Finn and Kurt, and it didn't seem like to be ending anytime soon. Though she was close to Kurt, Rachel would always back up Finn. It was something she just had to do. It was like it was something that was wired in her head to do so.
She had to take her mind off things, and she could only do it one way: by singing. So, as soon as she could, Rachel ran to the auditorium, the perfect song in her mind. Though, that idea was having to be put on hold, as Rachel noticed someone else there, her eyes narrowing.
It was that...new girl, who came from Carmel. Apparently she left after Vocal Adrenaline had tried to recruit her, but for some reason that Rachel hadn't found out yet, but she was planning on it. Rachel had seen her a few times, and recalled her talking to Blaine in the choir room one day when she was walking past to get to the auditorium to practice again. If Rachel was going to be honest, she didn't trust this new girl very much. The Carmel Girl then walked to the center stage.
'Dont want the sun to shine upon my face/ And i see your eyes and their glazy haze/Your lips dont move/ But i hear what you're saying/ I look outside through the razor blades/ And i crawl and i scrape and i feel for you/ But there's nothing// There's nothing that i can do /m a freak/ I'm the freak of the world/ I'm a freak/ Freak of the world/ Stars are shining oh so bright/ And i dont think everything's alright/ And i can't wake up/ Cuz i dream all night/ Yeah you're in my way/ And i can't get bye/ And i beg and i cheat and i steal for you/ But there's nothing/ There's nothing that i can do/ Im a freak/ Im the freak of the world/ Im the freak of the world/ Im the freak of the world/ And there's nothing i can say/ And there's nthing you can do/ And there's nothing i can say or do/ Dont want the sun to shine upon my face/ And i see your eyes and their glazy haze/ Your lips dont move but i hear what you're saying/ I look out side through the razor blades/And i try / (through the razor blades)/ And i scream / through the razor blades/ I can see your face/ Im the freak of the world/ Im the freak of the world/ Im the freak of the world/ And there is nothing i can say/ And there is nothing you can do/ And there is nothing i can say or do/ Caz im the freak of the world / I'm a freak/ Of the world'
[/i] After she finished, Rachel took a deep breath, and tossed her hair behind her back, before walking briskly towards the former-Carmel girl, with the widest smile that she could manage despite how she was truly feeling on her face 'So, I see you've found our auditorium! It's nowhere near as big as the one at Carmel, as you can clearly see, though it's every bit as good. Then, Rachel frowned slightly 'You won't find out anything for our setlist for Sectionals, so you should just quit while you're ahead'[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote] WORDS: 627 MUSE: NO GOOD DEED TAGS: NOTES; NONE[/size][/justify]

Lyric had felt amazing when she finished singing. She was starting to thing that maybe life at this school might be amazing. She was making friends at this school. First she had met Blaine Anderson. He extremely awesome and very nice to her. Even after she had blown the fact that he was caught singing a song about his boyfriend to this very boyfriend. She would defiantly stay friends with him. Then there was Kurt Hummel. She hadn't exactly met the boy in person yet but they got along really well online.
Then there was Finn Hudson. It had started out with her being the mysterious Doritos delivery girl. After that she had actually met him. She had been waiting for coffee at the Lima Bean when he had shown up. They had started talking. She was going to love joining this glee club. Her thoughts were interrupted by a voice. It sounded nice but there was something behind it. 'So, I see you've found our auditorium! It's nowhere near as big as the one at Carmel, as you can clearly see, though it's every bit as good. That statement just told her who it was. This was the Rachel Berry that she had heard about. What did Finn see in this girl? 'You won't find out anything for our setlist for Sectionals, so you should just quit while you're ahead. Was this girl always this paranoid? She sighed. I don't care about what your setlist for sectionals is. That isn't way I came to this school. Don't make snap judgements before you know the facts.

Rachel hadn't spoken to this girl yet, at least not in person. She had spoken to her plenty of times over IM, but that was all. While speaking on IM, as she had no idea who it was, Rachel had a fairly neutral opinion on Lyric, but that was really because they hadn't spoken much, though she seemed nice enough. Rachel didn't really like spending a lot of time on IM, and she was a bit disheartened when she received a text from an irritated Kurt, asking her to at least use punctuation whenever she was typing. Rachel was far to used to "typing all in lowercase as its much quicker and kurt should probably just look past it".
Going back to the subject of Lyric, Rachel wasn't a fan of Lyric in person. She had seen the new girl hanging around Finn far too much for Rachel to be comfortable. Call her paranoid if you wish, but Rachel didn't like it when Finn got really close to other girls. Though, she was certain that Finn wouldn't ever cheat on her, she didn't want to be too careful. Also, this girl was from Carmel High, and after seeing her talk to Sunshine in the mall (she couldn't hear what they were saying) Rachel was positive that Lyric was a spy for Vocal Adrenaline. 'I don't care about what your setlist for sectionals is. That isn't way I came to this school. Don't make snap judgements before you know the facts.'
[/i]. Rachel narrowed her eyebrows 'How defensive you're getting is really only just making you seem more suspicious. Fine then.' Rachel huffed, then rolled her shoulders back, before crossing her arms 'Why are you here then?' [/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote] WORDS: 288 MUSE: NONE TAGS: NOTES: Sorry! Lyric wasn't quite sure what her full opinion on Rachel Berry was just yet. The girl seemed a little to self-centered and really liked to jump to conclusion. Though she might understand the part about her not liking Lyric close to Finn. The boy was a total catch and for what she understood a major of the girls in glee had been on dates with Finn. Though she wasn't quite sure if she would even have a shot with the boy if he and Rachel were to end.
Though this who thing about her being a Vocal Adrenaline spy was just craziness. Rachel didn't know anything that had lead up to her coming her. It was hard to deal with thinking that someone is finally going to recognize her talent and then being told if you want the chance at fame you have to change your entire person. How defensive you're getting is really only just making you seem more suspicious. Fine then. Then Rachel preceeded to huff, roll her shoulders back and then cross her arms. Why are you here then? She sighed and looked away from Rachel, out at the empty auditorium. You ever know the feeling where you think you've got your big moment. That someone is finally going to recognize your talent. That you might actually have a shot at your dream. Then suddenly your told if you want it you have to change everything about who you are. From the way you dress to the way you act and carry yourself. That to get your dream you can't be you?

Rachel understood Lyric liking Finn. There wasn't really anything that she couldn't hate about him. Which was why it was painful to see Kurt argue with him so much. She did think that Kurt had every right to be upset, but he was making Finn upset too. It was only natural that he would act that why. Anyway, she didn't like how close this girl was getting to Finn and she wished that she would stop.
Rachel didn't want to bother to find out why she was here. Mainly because she was so sure that her reasoning was right. There would be no other logical explanation in her eyes. 'ou ever know the feeling where you think you've got your big moment. That someone is finally going to recognize your talent. That you might actually have a shot at your dream?'
[/i][/b] Rachel nodded, with her arms still crossed 'Every time I have a solo'[/b] She said. Though they were numerous, Rachel didn't think that enough people recognized her talent whenever she did have one. 'Then suddenly your told if you want it you have to change everything about who you are. From the way you dress to the way you act and carry yourself. That to get your dream you can't be you?'[/b] Then Rachel bit her lip 'I haven't actually been told that...though I know that if I had to get anywhere, I'd have to change myself completely..so I can look more like the other people in the showbiz world...Why are you asking?'[/b][/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote] WORDS: 260 MUSE: NONE TAGS: NOTES: Woo!~ Always good to know you're doing a good job with canons :3[/size][/justify]

Lyric did't think that this girl would believe anything that didn't come from her own mouth. At least that was what she seemed like. Not that Lyric knew her well enough to start judging her. Though Rachel Berry was currently proving everything that she had heard to be right. Every time I have a solo. Egotistical little bitch...
[/color] She sighed. Looking at Rachel, Lyric brushed her bangs behind her ear. This girl would get it. She was too big-headed to be brought back down to earth. Anyways... 'I haven't actually been told that...though I know that if I had to get anywhere, I'd have to change myself completely..so I can look more like the other people in the showbiz world...Why are you asking? Lyric was right. Rachel didn't get it. That right there proves that you don't get it. Barbara didn't get a nose job because she was told to. She stayed the way she was. Rachel really couldn't help how she behaved -- everything just came out before she even had the chance to think anything through. It was like vomit..Not a very good, pleasant way to describe it, though it was accurate to how she spoke. "Anyways..."
[/b][/i] Rachel looked up, her eyebrow quirking. "That right there proves that you don't get it. Barbara didn't get a nose job because she was told to. She stayed the way she was. Apparently you don't realize that sometimes it's a person's uniqueness that gets them were they want to go.[/b][/i] Rachel frowned slightly, before shaking her head "While you may have a point..Barbara got where she was because her voice was so unique, not her nose. It was her talent that got her where she wanted. If you have unique talent, then if you fit in or not doesn't matter. And if I had to fit in to be as great as Barbara then I'd take that chance"[/b] "Your're just like all the rest of Vocal Adrenaline. No wonder that you and St. James made the prefect couple."[/b][/i]. Rachel opened her mouth, before cllosing it. She frowned. "I...I'm nothing like Vocal Adrenaline...Not at all. And Jesse broke my heart. Finn's the one for me."[/b]. She trailed off, and began thinking about Jesse..Oh, God. She couldn't get him out of her mind now. Everything about him was just infecting her mind. Berry stop this. He doesn't love you. You don't love him. You love Finn. Finn loves you. There was really no point in arguing with a girl like this. she wasn't even sure why she was wasting her breath. Maybe it was her strong desire to knock the girl down a peg or two. Gosh, that would thrill her to no end. This girl was already annoying her and they had just met. While you may have a point..Barbara got where she was because her voice was so unique, not her nose. It was her talent that got her where she wanted. If you have unique talent, then if you fit in or not doesn't matter. And if I had to fit in to be as great as Barbara then I'd take that chance. She felt the smirk want to crept across her face. So, then what you are telling me is they you feel you need to change and fit in. Which means that you don't have a good enough or at least she feel that you don't. That is an interesting fact to know. The urge to chuckle was great as Rachel gaped like a goldfish for a moment. I...I'm nothing like Vocal Adrenaline...Not at all. And Jesse broke my heart. Finn's the one for me. Lyric smiled at this. She was getting slightly defensive now. That was always a good sign. Oh really? So then you don't judge people before you get to know them. Me and Sunshine You don't make sure that you are always center stage and try and over shadow other people's talent. Kurt, Blaine, Mercedes, Puck, Santana, Tina, Artie, Brittany, and even Mike. You're telling me that you would turn your back on someone you claim love for a chance at fame. Finn. She stepped a little closer to Rachel and looked the girl in the eyes. Also I dare you to tell me you aren't thinking about Jesse St. James right now.

Brilliant..This was just what she was needing. Rachel was so sick of people trying to bring her down because of her confidence. It happened enough with the people in the Glee club. The only ones who Rachel actually spoke to who didn't constantly try to bring her down were Finn and Blaine, though Rachel didn't really count the latter, seeing as he'd only been here for about a month or so now. "So, then what you are telling me is they you feel you need to change and fit in. Which means that you don't have a good enough or at least she feel that you don't. That is an interesting fact to know"
[/i][/color] Rachel shook her head, pouting slightly. "No. It's just that I'm willing to do just about anything to get to where I want to -- no -- where I need to be. Clearly you don't have the same dedication otherwise you'd at least understand"[/b]. Seeing her smile, Rachel's fell into a frown, knowing straight away that she wasn't going to like what Lyric was going to say next. " Oh really? So then you don't judge people before you get to know them."[/b] "I go by first impressions."[/b] She said, huffing slightly, as she folded her arms "It'll be hard for me to be friendly to them if they don't do the same with me, or if they give me reason not to be. I mean, I don't know Karofsky or Azimo, and what they've put the club through, do you expect me to be nice to them?"[/b] "You don't make sure that you are always center stage and try and over shadow other people's talent"[/b][/i] Rachel's frown deepened slightly. She looked at the floor and muttered "It's really only important with competitions..I have more experience"[/b] "You're telling me that you would turn your back on someone you claim love for a chance at fame."[/b][/i]. At this, Rachel glowered at Lyric, then brought herself up to full height glaring "If you're talking about Finn, then you're wrong. I'd never turn my back on him. Maybe in the past, but not now. I've lost him too many times"[/b] " Also I dare you to tell me you aren't thinking about Jesse St. James right now."[/b][/i]. She held Lyric's gaze for a few seconds, before breaking it. Rachel turned away and stormed over to the piano "I'm think about him and how I hate him for breaking my heart completely[/b]"[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote] WORDS: 410 MUSE: NONE TAGS: NOTES: I think Rachel would either be in Gryffindor or Slytherin in HR..[/size][/justify]

Lyric wasn't trying to shatter anyone confidence at the moment. She was merely trying to figure Rachel Berry out for herself. It was things like this that made it easier for her to understand everything. She needed to figure it all out and then she would know what to do with her current situation. No. It's just that I'm willing to do just about anything to get to where I want to -- no -- where I need to be. Clearly you don't have the same dedication otherwise you'd at least understand. She scoffed. I have dedication. I always understand that I can still be me and get what I want. I don't have to suffocate people with my ego to get it. Also I wouldn't destroy a friendship to get it. Because if your talent is good enough then there isn't any harm with some friendly competition.
I go by first impressions. It'll be hard for me to be friendly to them if they don't do the same with me, or if they give me reason not to be. I mean, I don't know Karofsky or Azimo, and what they've put the club through, do you expect me to be nice to them? Lyric tilted her head to the side and looked at Rachel. If that is in fact the case, then why have you judged me before you even spoke to me. It's really only important with competitions..I have more experience. She sighed and rolled her eyes. That doesn't matter. I bet Tina or Quinn could do just as well if you ever let have a shot at the spotlight. If you're talking about Finn, then you're wrong. I'd never turn my back on him. Maybe in the past, but not now. I've lost him too many times. She thought for a moment. It was probably a fact though it wasn't certain. I guess only time will tell with that one. I'm think about him and how I hate him for breaking my heart completely. With those words, Lyric's lips twitched into a smirk. That right there was enough to prove that Rachel still liked Jesse St. James.

I don't suffocate anyone with my ego! And if you're implying that I've ever destroyed a friendship to get what I want, then I've never done that. I wouldn't dream of it. On the outside, Lyric was calm as could be. On the inside, she was smirking. She seemed to be getting to Rachel even if it was barely anything. Though some was almost always better than none. It was literally taking all her energy not to egg the girl on more than necessary. That isn't what I hear. Then she looked away for a moment. If you are so sweet then how do you explain what you did to Sunshine.
I've lost Finn too many times...And I don't like how you're like what you are with him. Lyric sighed. The girl was over reacting. Sure, she could be a bitch sometimes but she wasn't a boyfriend stealing. I'm going to steal your boyfriend, Berry. I'm just trying to make friends over here. I have the strongest voice out of all the girls. While Tina and Quinn do have amazing voices, they're more suited for songs that won't help us win Nationals. They want big, heart-stopping numbers, and I'm the only one that can carry it off well. What was with this girl? Did she have an ego the size of the planet or something? I call bullshit. What? She chuckled. Nothing to concern yourself with, little miss ego.

What do you mean? Lyric rolled her eyes and looked away from Rachel. This conversation was beginning to bore her. I think you can figure that out. I mean think of all the friendships your ego has almost ruined. I'm...I'm not proud of that. But I did it for the club! They would get even less solos than they already get. She rolled her eyes at Rachel. So, you were afraid that you would lose solos basically. So, you goingto spend me off to a crack house too if you feel threatened?
Oh, really? Lyric couldn't believe this girl. Was she really being this paranoid? Yes, really. Are you one of those girls that thinks that guys and girls can't be friends without something else going on? Excuse me!? She just kind off laughed and didn't give a response. It's about me, so yeah, I guess that it does concern me. She twwirled a strand of hair around a finger. Actually it doesn't. Because as hard as this may be for you to understand my thoughts don't revolve around you.
